what is alpine dreams?
Great question. I’m still figuring out the answer to that, but it has to do with the feeling you get in the alpine, moving your body, in awe with the world and at home in the landscape. There are many ways to get that feeling and depending on what’s going on in your life, movement, bodywork, and writing are all avenues to get there. Expanding training toward a creative practice to find how we can be most at home in ourselves and the world can be grounding, transformative and healing in an ever-changing world.
I(Alison Hanks Naney) have coached myriad people of all backgrounds for the last 15 years and through it, continue to broaden what training is, I also have a massage practice and use that lens when coaching to ensure balance for the nervous system while treating each athlete as a fluid, ever-evolving person.
I live in the mountains with my husband, two daughters, and two huskies where when not working, I run, ski, bike, read and write, usually among my ponderosa tree friends. I co-own Cascade Endurance with my husband Sam, and founded Methow Massage Therapy. Both businesses operate out of a historic cabin in the north cascades, along with Alpine Dreams.
